Fly the Friendly Skies

The Adventure Society will be organizing a day of Tandem Hang Gliding in the Hudson Valley this Sunday, followed by wine tasting and Bocce, should time permit. The group will meet in Midtown at 7 a.m. See website to sign up for location.

This is one event where you will not want to say, "Look Ma! No Hands!" It could be an exciting alternative to your normal Sunday service if you're looking for something different and exciting to do.

The Psalms speak of the beauty of creation: "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands" (Psalm 19:1) Gliding hundreds of feet up in the air will give you ample time and opportunity to allow God's creation to reveal itself to you.

The cost is $223 per person and is limited to 14 participants.

I don't know that I want to see the beauty of God's creation from that high up....

i do, on the condition that i first have some fleshy, flying-squirrel like skin flaps.

I sky dived one time and it was beautiful. You notice I didn't go back for more...
