Celebrate National Ice Cream Month with Guacamole de Postre

Did you know July is National Ice Cream Month? Okay, but did you know that it was Ronald Reagan who designated it as such in 1984?

To celebrate National Ice Cream Month, Asphalt Eden is going to be taking a look at ice cream in the Big Apple. All month long, we'll bring you news on the most unique flavors and the best deals. If you've got a tip, email us.

First up, the annual Ice Cream Festival at Rosa Mexicano (9 East 18th Street). We learned via Rare Daily, that now through this Sunday, July 19, the "Flavor-happy highlights include: Guacamole de Postre, a sweet and savory mash-up of salted avocado and butter ice cream, and Tacos de Helado, a luscious trio of vanilla cookie tacos filled with Peanut Butter Oaxacan Chocolate, Vanilla, and Sweet Potato Rum Raisin ice cream."
Comment with your reviews.
