I Harvest

Tonight is the opening of Redeemer's annual juried exhibition, which features more than forty works from Redeemer artists and those in its extended community. The evening kicks off at 6:00 at the Redeemer offices, located in suite 400 at 1359 Broadway, and will run til about 9:00. In addition to the art and a chance to mingle with the artists, there will be music and food.

This year's theme is I Harvest, a reference to Matthew 9:37-38, which says: The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His field."

The works on display will also be for sale, and are 10% off at the opening reception.

If you cannot make it to the reception, or want to come back again another time, the exhibition will run through early January 2010. Viewing will be available during regular office hours which are, Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM til 6:00 PM. You may also set up an appointment to view the art outside of these times by emailing arts@redeemer.com.

The show was great! It was a bit unorthodox, as far as the way the artwork was presented in the space. But worth a look.
